THE SPY WHO LOVED ME: DIRTY POLITICS

AND THE NEW SPY GAME - UPDATED 08.15.24

Recently, I did an interview that was cut short with someone deeply involved in the political spy game going on between Democrats and Republicans… just like the Patrick Byrne DANGER CLOSE saga… In her case, she was tasked with exposing “communists” in the Democratic party. Shades of McCarthyism rearing its ugly head.

At least on the Republican side Eric Prince and operative Richard Seddon have been outed for training this new breed of spies…  What we need now is to know the players running the spy game from the Democratic side…. Whistleblowers welcome.

It is significant that the above mentioned woman reported to James O’Keefe when she was involved in spying on the Democratic Party “posing as an investigative journalist working undercover”. According to O’Keefe who states in the interview linked here and embedded below (Socrates in the City host Eric Metaxas), there is a difference between a “spy” and a “journalist working undercover”, in that a spy “works for the state or government” and a journalist working undercover works on behalf of “the people”. However is that actually true? A couple questions arise here because arguably in the case of an investigative journalist a definition according to the Cambridge dictionary: is…”a type of journalism that tries to discover information of public interest that someone is trying to hide:” And ,…From the Hansard archive…”Conspiracy is a popular subject for investigative journalism.”

However, no where in the above definition does it clarify that the investigative journalist “go undercover”. This is the portion of the definition that is not included and where being an investigative journalist crosses over into being a “spy”. Usually investigative journalists are working in the public’s interest but they are also as such, openly public in doing so.

Sometimes investigators go undercover as spies. Sometimes the situation requires that kind of deception in order to get information that would otherwise be secret or unavailable to an outsider. In this case, the spy game notorious between countries has gone inside our country similar in fact, to the role of the FBI and arguably CIA two investigative organizations under the purview of our government more and more are engaged on spying on or surveilling with or without our notice, American citizens. And so the fact that companies or non-governmental organizations also spy on or surveil each other and American citizens has become more and more prevalent. We are a country divided. Similar to the time of McCathy-ism where being labeled a “communist” could ruin a career and perhaps even a life.

Being a “communist” or loyal American who believes in “democracy” (rule by the majority) or mob rule or a Republic which is actually what the United States is… is a political designation. Whether organizations or companies within the United States spying on each other can be said to be ‘working for the state or government’ or the public interest is open to debate and perhaps actually in the eye of the beholder. Regardless, the O’Keefe definition of being a spy means you are working for the government and performing like a spy ‘as an undercover journalist’ means you are working for the people is muddy at best. In the case of Project Veritas the definition becomes even murkier when a relationship between Blackwater’s Eric Prince and his expertise in training journalists can be said to be spies crossing the line. According to several articles below there is a clear relationship between Eric Prince and Project Veritas or at the very least with James O’Keefe, it’s original founder. Which means whether a distinction can be made between being a “spy” and being an “undercover journalist” remains unclear but what is perfectly clear is that conservative organizations and arguably members of the Republican Party and liberals or members of the Democratic Party are spying on each other and have been doing so for decades.

But what is also obvious is that Democrats and Republicans and the U.S. government (and of course other governments and their governmental organizations) are involved in espionage. Mossad, the Russian FSB and others…are all spying on their own citizens as well as on citizens from other countries. Politics is an arena where spying is an old game needless to say. And within that companies and various organizations are also involved in spying on each other.

You see the problem. Some investigative journalists work on behalf of the people and are self employed or freelancers and some are employed by companies, organizations or governmental agencies. So who one works for and where one gets their paycheck does not necessarily preclude working for or on behalf of the public interest. Media organizations are supposed to be serving the people but since the advent of the “mockingbird” media which could be said to have existed going back to the Nazis means that media is owned and run by the government and is in service to ‘the state’ in essence becoming part of the state sponsored propaganda machine. Here again the distinction between who reports to ‘the state’ or government and who works exclusively for the people may be harder to determine than simply where one draws their weekly pay. Within any organization individuals may be working “undercover for the government’ and often are reporting to the CIA, FBI or even foreign governments.

At any rate, we can see that spying is, it would appear, a favorite pastime here and abroad and some people are posing as “journalists” and working undercover spying on Politic Parties and corporations and their members.

Project Veritas is not alone in training its employees to pose as “journalists” who go “undercover” to learn secrets (also called spying) then expose them to the public. What is significant is the movement of spy training from the governmental agency arena to the public sector. BLACKWATER…according to wikipedia is Academi, Academi, formerly known as Blackwater and Blackwater Worldwide, is an American private military contractor founded on December 26, 1996,^[2] by former Navy SEAL officer Erik Prince.^[3][4] It was renamed Xe Services in 2009, and was again renamed to Academi in 2011, after it was acquired by a group of private investors.^[5] In 2014, Academi merged with Triple Canopy to form Constellis Holdings.^[6][7][8]

Erik Prince (according to wikipedia) …”Erik Dean Prince (born June 6, 1969) is an American businessman, investor, and former U.S. Navy SEAL officer, and the founder of the private military company Blackwater. He served as Blackwater's CEO until 2009 and as its chairman until its sale to a group of investors in 2010. Prince heads the private equity firm Frontier Resource Group and was chairman of the Hong Kong-listed Frontier Services Group until 2021.”
